some of these posts are straight up embarrassing!

A prime roy jones would have schooled calzaghe.

Like someone already said, an old roy jones had no movement, he stays on the ropes. Watch a prime roy. He would have murdered joe

It would have been a great fight but because of politics never happened.
I think whoever is the higher ATG of these 2 wins. So RJJ i would say probably.
But RJJ was all about athletic ability. Toney who lost to RJJ thought mike mcallum was a better boxer and impressed him more. Was RJJ faster than JC....possible and more power.....possibly.

RJJ probably has the better resume, so i would give RJJ the nod, but JC has the win so nothing to worry about now for JC.
Notice how i say probably all the time as well.

I think Joe is capable of giving Roy a good fight but I see him suffering a K.O. at some point.

I agree on calzaghe's underrated boxing ability.

however, you saw that clearly passed prime old Roy knocked down calzaghe in the 1st round, even if it wasn't a clean punch with the glove.

I think roy would win a close but clear UD over calzaghe in their primes @ 168.

You dont know anything about boxing or RJJ.

He was a totally shot fighter who would go on to be destroyed right after the opening bell by journeyman Danny Green, something Calzaghe didn't come close to doing.

Joe would have virtually no chance against a prime Roy and while Roy was the p4p king and greatest fighter on earth, Joe was fighting tomato cans in his own backyard. Roy will be remembered as one of the ATG's and Joe will be remembered as a guy who fought weak opposition in a weak division who was only able to pull off a UD against a shot old RJJ and barely sc**** a SD against Bernard Hopkins.

Joe will not be remembered by boxing as a great fighter in any aspect of the term.

Roy Jones would easily have knocked him out in his prime.

At the risk of sounding 'dumb' I would pick Jones by stoppage.

If Calzaghe got a prime Roy on the ropes like that and threw those windmill punches he would have eventually been knocked out with an uppercut.
