its cool man, i was there too.

    basic rules:
NEVER change the subject into something that can remind people of Mayweather or Pacquiao because then you dont have a ordinary thread anymore. its a May/Pac thread. (probably about who is higher ATG or who deserves more money. sad but true.)

Calzaghe by stoppage, pretty early. Prime Jones imo would have his heart ripped from him by Calzaghe. He's be in the ring, maybe do a little rapping, talk about how great he is etc...and then suddenly someones in the ring with him who wont back down, whose not afraid to throw at him, who hasnt lost 48 lbs an 4 weeks. Joe would pounce on Roy and just bring him down. Joe was about 8 years past his prime when he met RJJ, he had lost his hands, prime Joe was fearless, had never been knocked down and would just pound Jones over and over again and Jones would have been in shock and probably just cower on the ropes as Joe pounded away at his face.

Jones is a great fighter dont get me wrong. But calzaghe...Calzaghes never been beat.

Close fight, Roy undoubtably most naturally talented boxer in history, Calzaghe's speed, fitness, boxing smarts lets him hang around with Prime Roy.

I'd bet on Roy but Calzaghe would be a live dog, unlike B-hop who would just coast to a wide UD loss again.

I would go with Roy in a competitive decision. His speed would have been the difference. That and his legs. Those attributes (which he didn't really have when he and Joe C actually did fight) would have allowed him to stay in the middle of the ring, dictate the fight and nullify Joe's amazing workrate. Roy's lead right would have been incredibly effective in this fight I think.

All the muppets saying Roy strolls out and blasts him out of there in a few rounds need to seriously check themselves. A prime Roy Jones went the full 12 with several fighters that were not even close to being as good as Joe. That and Calzaghe had an iron chin. No way I see Calzaghe getting stopped in this fight.

No debate Roy would have killed Calzaghe! If a 40+ B-hope an a 40+ Roy could drop Calzaghe he'd hav no chance against a prime Roy.
