Margarito should not be gauged by the outcome of his last two fights

Manny and Freddie better be prepared for the Margarito that did this to Miguel Cotto...

    Vs Shane Mosley:
    • Classic case of styles make fights.
    • Tony appeared visibly drawn coming into the fight.
    • How can any fighter be prepared mentally after being found with loaded gloves?
    • That Shane Mosley is not the Shane Mosley we seen last week.
    • Shane Mosley is physically stronger than Margarito... did you know that Sugar can push 315 on the bench, for reps?

    Vs Roberto Garcia:
    • It was a UD win for Tony.
    • He had just come off a long layoff, for good reason.
    • He more than likely wanted to shake off some ring rust and put rounds in.

Don't gauge Margarito on said performances. Expect the Tornado that ripped through Cintron and Cotto, especially at 150lbs. And lets not forget, Manny's still a little guy. Tony's bigger than Oscar, Manny's smaller than Cotto; the size disparity is gonna be unlike anything we've seen recently.

I find it a bit ironic that his last opponents name is the same as his new trainer... Anyway, hope both come in 100% prepared and ready to scrap!!!

    Another thing worth mentioning.

Mosleys holding was a key factor in his win.

    Pac does not hold.

Roach said that a) for show effects and even more importantly b) to get into Tony's head. I don't think he is ****** enough to really underestimate him or let Manny not be 100% prepared for everything he might be able to throw at him come fight night.

Very good point. Styles make fights, and Mosley's physical strength enabled him to do that.

Just hoping Margarito isn't mysteriously smaller then we're used to seeing in the ring. The 10 oz gloves, the size disparity and Pacquiao's added on weight may diminish his punching power. Lately, I've been getting the feeling that it's gonna be a lot more competitive then I originally thought, I don't know. All depends I guess.

Let's hope not. But many fans are underestimating Tony based on the two performances Freddie was referring to.

I don't see him being "smaller", not at 150. He'll be comfortable large standing next to Manny. And I'm with you in thinking this can be competitive, especially in the late rounds. I see it getting rough in the late rounds with both taking heavy damage. The huge size advantage will be what keeps Tony in the fight.
