The college debate topic write now is immigration, so I've been getting informed on it bit by bit.
They definitely have visas specifically for athletes. I don't understand why Alfredo Angulo can't just live out of Mexico and get P-1 visas whenever he wants to fight in the US. That would stop the US government from cracking down on HBO for televising his fights in the US.
I'm a bit unclear why this is considered such a major roadblock to be honest.
I'm a bit confused too. You don't have to be a U.S. citizen to fight in the U.S. if you're a boxer.
I know Mik, but this is the Andy Lee I remember seeing...
and he has 8 fights and wins since then. I'm not real high on Lee, i think there's about a half dozen young MW's who are on a level he'll never reach, but your opinion on Angulo seems to be unrealistically inflated.

How does my opinion on Angulo seem unrealistically inflated? My only opinion on him was that I couldn't see him losing to a guy like Lee... (from what I've seen from him)
Am sure their would be a way for him to fight in the USA, Why wasnt this picked up earlier by anyone? And why would angulo himself turn down a fight with Martinez with all that money when he knew about his illegal status? The guy is ****** IMO.
HBO doesn't exactly send their production team down to Mexico every month. Dude not being able to fight in America is a big deal. I'm sure his promoter and HBO are going to lose some serious cash over this.
He was exciting but was in line to be used as a stepping stone by Martinez or Kirkland anyway.
He had been giving HBO problems if you guys don't remember, I' sure they're glad to get rid of the dude.
Maybe he can rematch Kermit in PR since Cotto *****ed out.
Puerto Rico is a commonwealth of the United States, so all federal laws also apply to Puerto Rico. The fight would have to be somewhere else. How about Mexico! I like it.
