I can't see how this is correct. I doubt Williams is a genius but I'm sure that not even he thinks that fighting the 154-pound world champion at 157 constitutes "draining".

I honestly cannot understand why this fight is at a catchweight. That "I want to be as low as possible to make 147" garbage sounds ridiculous to me. I don't accept that as anything close to a reasonable explanation.

PAc's fans aren't allowed to speak on the issue lol... Cotto fans who weigh 145 lbs and under and Margarito who weigh 151 lbs and over can speak on this issue lol...

I think there is some truth to this. And this just goes to show you regardless of who wins the fight when the aftermath comes Martinez is gonna fight guys his own size like for example Pirog or maybe Angulo while Williams will go down to 147 and fight guys like Bradley, Khan, Alexander, and Ortiz when they move up so he'll have a huge size advantage. Williams has become a fuckin fraud.

I never said it would "drain Martinez" but obviously Williams thinks he'll be getting some kind of advantage. What it is? I couldnt tell you. He and his promoter seem to think Martinez is the bigger man.

My problem is putting the championship on the line at a catchweight.

I understand, I am just questioning whether they view that as being a genuine "advantage".

I agree on the catchweight issue as well. While in this case I don't think it will make a difference I typically do not like to see these titles go on the line with the champion not being permitted to weigh in at the divisional limit. It just doesn't seem right.

I like how Dirk overlooks the fact that Paul wants to be able to get fights at 154 and 147.

Stop acting ******. Martines wont be affected at all.

Then on top of all that a catchweight HAS NOT been confirmed.

So what does that mean? Hes always said that but hes never asked anyone else for a catchweight. Hes fought at 160 before and has gone back down in weight. Stop desperately trying to justify this catchweight nonsense when you called Pac a "coward" fot the same thing. Its a joke, you should hide under a rock or just stfu
