More an exaggeration that a straight-on myth. While there have been occasional exceptions, Germany is an extremely difficult place for a foreigner to win a decision against a house fighter, especially a Universum favorite like Braehmer. It's not really hard to find the numbers to back that up if you look at championship fights in Germany. The same, of course, can be said for foreigners trying to win everywhere from Italy to Houston, Texas, Japan and places in between. And the worst decision I've seen in the past decade was probably the stealing of Campillo's title in Las Vegas, a decision that would have made even officials at Universum and Sauerland blush
