Mosley still has some fight in him and Mora was mostly to blame for the how terrible the fight was to watch. We didnt need to see him in against Mora to know hes slipping though. He hasnt been prime for nearly 10yrs at this point.
In defence of Mosley last night...

Mora came in the fight 3 pounds over the limit on weight day. He litteraly ran and clinched to save his ass. The old man was the one who pushed the action. It was almost worse than watching Dirrell and his running shoes against the Cobra.Comment

Mora and the judges were a ****ing disgrace.
mora had his one big chance, and avoided making a fight and didnt do anything to try win any rounds, just ran and fainted and avioded shane.
mosley is welter verus mora a middleweight with advantages in height reach and weight!.
and mosley still outboxed him with mora being reluctant to want to fight.
mora should be blacklisted from any notable fights and not alllowed on hbo or any other boxing card ever again.
the judges are so corrupt its retarted.what robbing scum.
and mora was so deluded he thought he ****in won!what a c*nt.
lederman doesnt lie with his scorecards.
and mosley will still get a title chance vs berto or cotto.
he boxed well agiasnt the worst possible style for him,hes older and not prime, but hes not past it.Comment

wooooooowwww, don't waste your time being objective on here buddy because every single band wagon passenger will attack you for it, Mosley clear fought the fight he had to against the MUCH bigger Mora, seriously ****ing Sergio Mora has a win over Vernon Forrest and even though he also lost to him it just goes to show you that their styles make a difference in fights..
people wont realize that though, it would be easier to write off Shane Mosley as a finished fighter when he's clearly not.. I gotta ask you all, when have you EVER known Shane Mosley to be a tactical Boxer who would be able to skillkfully break apart a man like Mora with single shots?
Answer, you DON'T know him to be that way because he's not that way, against Oscar not only was he in his peak but he also brawled the whole time, same with phony so what's so different with Mora?
he tried to do to Mora what he would have tried on ANYONE it's just Mora had an answer for Shane which was a whole lot of movement and timed shots, he didn't open up too much and made for an ugly fight.
Floyd who is at least 5-6 inches shorter than Mora beat Mosley doing the same thing, timing him and picking his punches wisely and Floyd actually even became aggressive and allowed Shane the chance to **** back with him but Mora was not only about half a ruler taller than Floyd, 2 weight classes naturally bigger than Floyd and actually wasn't aggressive like how Floyd was aggressive so if he lost to Floyd under better terms how wouldn't he have trouble with Mora on worse terms?
honestly man this is my first post regarding the fights from yesterday, not because I wasn't online to post anything but because people are so damn **** blinded it pisses me off, people are so quick to write off fighters it's almost offensive, I think the fighter would take offense seriously..
Did I really just read an intelligent post on NSB ?!!
Wtf is going on hereComment

No matter how you saw the fight, it's interesting how people are seeing this fight. It appears that those who viewed HBO's commentators had Mosley winning and the others appear to have Mora winning.
You could have told from Mosley's face, his comments and his corner that he had a terrible night. He was gassed and his punches were not crisp at all.
Yes, Mora would have been hard to hit with his movement BUT there were many many moments in the fight that Mosley had Mora against the ropes or in the corner. That is when one needs to look long and hard and say, what would a younger Mosley do with a Mora that looked hittable?
Mosley was looking his age last night, again. Mosley admitted it himself that he can't fight boxers who move. Mosley admitted he is at the point in his career that he needs a fighter who will stand in front of him and **** with him.
If Mosley can admit it, his corner saw it, why can't you guys see it?Comment

talk about crying like *****es.
Mosley didnt win that fight, not even close. 4-5rds if im being generous
get over it, he was schooled by a fighter who had a gameplan that would get him the win. if he had stood toe to toe he would of lost. dont see the problem.
and watch the clinches, Mosley trapped his arm on EVERY single one.Comment

You said it, crillz. sometimes we need to re-watch a fight several times to understand the dynamics of it. Many write Mora off 'cause he couldn't KO Shane, yet Shane is known to have quite a sturdy chin to begin with.don't waste your time being objective on here buddy because every single band wagon passenger will attack you for it, Mosley clear fought the fight he had to against the MUCH bigger Mora, seriously ****ing Sergio Mora has a win over Vernon Forrest and even though he also lost to him it just goes to show you that their styles make a difference in fights..

I addition to what you posted, Shane may have also over trained for that fight to add to the weight gain which apparently slowed him down and had him gasping for air within a few rounds. I'm saying he may have, not that he did.
And not to say Shane is still a beast 'cause he's clearly past prime. However, he did finish on his feet despite the clean, hard shots Mora was able to land.
I think Shane may have something left in the tank at 147 to cause other fighters problems. But Mora, to his credit, fought a tactical fight with lots of movement and can certainly give other fighters at that weight a run for their money.
Shane deserves another shot at 147, perhaps against Berto, to give him the benefit of the doubt. If Berto trashes him badly or worse than Mora,
then we'll know Shane's days are numbered and should consider hanging them up for good.Comment
