In defence of Mosley last night...

I know he looked poor and he is past it but it's hard to look good or catch clean somebody who is running from you.

I mean, people talk about Mayweather being a runner and that kind of crap. Last night Sergio Mora truly ran from Mosley.

Anyone would have had trouble hitting him clean.

Mosley did what he needed to do but Mora was running all over. Also Mora head movement was not letting Mosley get his punches in

don't waste your time being objective on here buddy because every single band wagon passenger will attack you for it, Mosley clear fought the fight he had to against the MUCH bigger Mora, seriously ****ing Sergio Mora has a win over Vernon Forrest and even though he also lost to him it just goes to show you that their styles make a difference in fights..

people wont realize that though, it would be easier to write off Shane Mosley as a finished fighter when he's clearly not.. I gotta ask you all, when have you EVER known Shane Mosley to be a tactical Boxer who would be able to skillkfully break apart a man like Mora with single shots?

Answer, you DON'T know him to be that way because he's not that way, against Oscar not only was he in his peak but he also brawled the whole time, same with phony so what's so different with Mora?

he tried to do to Mora what he would have tried on ANYONE it's just Mora had an answer for Shane which was a whole lot of movement and timed shots, he didn't open up too much and made for an ugly fight.

Floyd who is at least 5-6 inches shorter than Mora beat Mosley doing the same thing, timing him and picking his punches wisely and Floyd actually even became aggressive and allowed Shane the chance to **** back with him but Mora was not only about half a ruler taller than Floyd, 2 weight classes naturally bigger than Floyd and actually wasn't aggressive like how Floyd was aggressive so if he lost to Floyd under better terms how wouldn't he have trouble with Mora on worse terms?

honestly man this is my first post regarding the fights from yesterday, not because I wasn't online to post anything but because people are so damn **** blinded it pisses me off, people are so quick to write off fighters it's almost offensive, I think the fighter would take offense seriously..

Mosley was clearly blowing in the latter part of the Cotto fight, his stamina has been in question since then imo, only its even more magnified now that he is a few years older, he cant stay consistent, and even when he tries to stay consistent, there is nothing on his punches.

i think we need to be honest here and look at Shane's last 6 or 7 fights and say which ones were actually impressive

im gonna wait to see how Margarito does against Pacquiao before i make my mind up fully but i think the fact that he got caught with the wraps plus his brutal war with Cotto plus his style made for Mosley looking great (and he was GREAT)

Can't fault him too much for the Cotto fight he fought well looked tired though but Cotto was in his prime and it was a close fight that could've gone either way

Vargas was gone by the time he faced Mosley

He really lost the second Oscar fight and looked terrible against Majorga until the KO

he looked even worse against Floyd

the last time he looked really good was probably against Collazo where he actually outworked and out fought the younger fighter

Mosley looked the worse I've ever seen him last night but he obviously still wants to fight

Despite him being over the hill though I can't see anyone really stopping him or knocking him out he's got one of the best chins out there and has only ever really been beaten up by three fighters (wright, mayweather, forrest) and thats at the very top level

i don't think 154 is a good weight for him either to make matters worse

Mora was running scared...Mosley could have put him to sleep but didn't really throw any power shots...I now agree, Margs was Mosley's last hoorah.

That being said, I can't imagine a draw in that fight last night...Mora won like 4 or 5 rds at most
