They were hating on Mora like little *****es. Merchant even complained about Alvarez right before he KTFO Baldomir. Saying the things they said was just unprofessional. Saying through the whole fight how Mora stinks and sucks. Man I wish Foreman was there with them he would set them straight.

Yea I ain't saying Mora won or that it wasn't an ugly fight but they were just hating on Mora through the entire fight. Lampley said in like the 4th round that if you give this fight to Mora you're a dumbass.Comment

Details about the Jim Lampley Arrest
As many of you know by know, HBO Boxing commentator Jim Lapley was arrested this past week for violating a restraining order. Details have come out and the accuser Candice Sanders, a former Miss California in 2003 in the Miss USA pageant series, who said she was engaged by Lampley and they were living together, said Lampley was drinking vodka and whiskey, was drunk, and high on pot. She claimed Lampley yelled at her and began chasing her around the apartment, threw her against the wall, and then against another wall. He threw her against the door and she collapsed. She said Lampley’s 14-year-old son Aaron tried to call police, but Jim wouldn’t let him and they drove away. She’s claiming injuries to he head, neck and back. Lampley, 57, was arrested on Wednesday for showing up as police were investigating the scene, thus violating a restraining order.

i didn't get to hear the HBO commentary as i was watching the premier sports one but i was surprised when LArry interviewed shane and it was clear the HBO team thought he had one but i certainly didn't
mosley was lucky to get the draw if you ask me
mora does stink the place out though **** knows why they even gave him another opportunity like this he always fights like a cowardComment

They were making the fight worse for me, in terms of excitement level, because! of how much they were reiterating how ****ty the fight was.Comment

yeah they wanna control peoples view of what boxing is and what excitement is in the ring...
these are casual fan commentators who do not appreciate the sweet science
of "hit don't get hit" they are casual fans of ricky hatton type style fights/brawls....we did get spoiled by a knockout artist by the name of mike tyson way back and now that's all they think boxing is about...not everyone gets KO'd....

at the end of the day though you got to respect merchant and lampley to some degree because they are only saying what is on most people's minds
the fight stunk there is no other way to put it
were they biased toward shane definitely but it's kind of understandable being they have seen him in so many exciting fights and he was trying to actually make the fight at least half watchable he was basically chasing mora the whole fight trying to get him to open up but Mora was only intent on spoiling
the network should have known that mora is one of the least entertaining fighters to watch and that this might turn out this way hard to see why they even gave him the opportunity tbh
i don't agree with their assessment of the fight but they were right in that it was a poor spectacle
pity because the fights that came before were electric if they had a main event to match it would've been a great night of boxing and a good card
watching mora mosley last night makes me appreciate Gatti and Corales even moreComment
