shane mosley had a close fight with miguel and beat the **** out of margarito so what does that make margarito and cotto?you say floyd fights old shot fighters but manny fought 2 of floyds opponents 2 years after floyd so if they were shot when floyd fought them that what were they when manny fought them?did manny not say after the clottey fight that he would like to fight shane?
Mora JUST CERTIFIED Floyd beat a SHOT & PAST PRIME Shane Mosley

There is no "transitions" phase here. Shane has been done as a elite fighter for awhile now. That margarito fight fooled everybody & made shane look better than he really is. Shane has been a shot fighter since the ricardo mayorga fight.[/QUOTE]
Done as an elite fighter! He is just one fight from fighting what some say is the best pound for pound. The fact is that he is in transition, mentally. At this point in his career its all mental. Thank god the boxing critiques especially those ringside don't think like you do.Comment

What are you talking about manny shutting the door on mosley's face, during that time, the fight with cotto was already a done deal. But still, shane was being eyed as a replacement if ever the cotto fight fails. And by your analogy, manny just demolished the guy who shane just lose to, so who is better now?? ... And we all know that the margarito fight were only made because dear floyd was a no show......I have to agree that shane has seen better days and floyds win over shane isnt as good as it wouldve been if he had beaten him a few years back but what i cant understand is if shane is such an easy beat why did manny and freddie close the door in his face when he went looking to fight manny!!!
Even worst for manny is the fact this shot fighter as you put it, was still good enough to not only beat (mannys next opponent) but Knocked Him The *** Out!!!
So who looks worse the guy who fought the shot fighter OR the guy who is fighting the guy who shot fighter KNOCK OUT COLD!!!Comment

So according to your logic...After Floyd beat Hatton who was undefeated, hatton was basically a bum because he couldnt beat Pac? Which means Pac fought A bum. And Oscar who came off a ko victory of mayorga and vargus was basically a bum because after he lost to floyd, he lost to Pac, which means Pac fought another bum? And after FLoyd beat Zab, zab lost to cotto which makes Zab a bum? So basically Cotto beat a bum? And after Mosley lost to v. Forrest it took away from forrest win when Mosely lost to Cotto? And how about Pac beating Cotto who really turned around and lost to Clottey?
Your logic is by far the worst LOGIC EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fighters dont all age the same, just cuz one fighter is old at 39 doesnt mean all fighters are shot at 39. Look at hatton, cotto, J. Taylor those fighters are younger then Mosley and their career was over before it started. Mosley is one of the greatest to lace up a pair of gloves. He was coming off 2 ko wins over mayorga and Margarito before facing Floyd. The had shane beating the young berto but when the fight fell through and he lost to a 33 year old, they said he was old. Stop *****ing, fighters will get old its a part of ****ing life. Shane will always be 5 years older then mayweather no matter what day it is. Old fighters will fight young fighters and young fighters will fight old fighters its life. hopkins is damn near 50 still fighting, Forman was fighting in his 50's. YOu win some you lose some, stop always talking about FLOYD!!!!!
again,
mosley showed all the telling symptoms of a shot fighter. Doing well in the first part of the fight. Looking spry, throwing a lot of punches, & even sometimes hurting their opponent. Then as the fight goes on, everything slows down. They are less accurate, the work rate dramatically drops, they end up being outworked, & eventually losing the fight.
I will show you examples & more importantly pay attention to all their ages:
Bernard Hopkins vs Joe Calzaghe - Hopkins is doing well in the first part of the fight. Even scores a knockdown. As soon as the fight turned to the second half, hopkins slowed down. he stop throwing punches, couldnt score against calzaghe & was overworked to a points decision.
Hopkins was 40+ years old.
Roy Jones Jr. vs Joe Calzaghe - Virtually a carbon copy of hopkins vs calzaghe. Roy is doing well in the first part of the fight. Knocks down calzghe. As soon as the second half of the fight started, roy was done. Gets dominated & humiliated by the younger man.
Roy was 39 years old.
Oscar vs Pacquiao - a more drastic & telling example of a shot fighter. Oscar loses the first couple of rounds but is still throwing but as soon as the 3rd, 4th round came he was empty helpless carcass getting devoured by a young hero of asia lion.
Oscar was 34-35 years old. not sure of the exact age.
Floyd vs Shane - Perfect example. Shane looks good the first part of the fight. even badly hurts the woman beater in the 2nd round. blew his load in that round & was a shot, spent, gun the rest of the fight. Everything declined after the 3rd-4th round.
Shane was 38 going on 39. he was inactive for 1 year & 5 months. these are facts. not opinion.
deal with it.Comment

Totally agree, something I've said myself for some time. This fight just needed to come and go for everyone to see it.Comment
