I have to agree that shane has seen better days and floyds win over shane isnt as good as it wouldve been if he had beaten him a few years back but what i cant understand is if shane is such an easy beat why did manny and freddie close the door in his face when he went looking to fight manny!!!

Even worst for manny is the fact this shot fighter as you put it, was still good enough to not only beat (mannys next opponent) but Knocked Him The *** Out!!!

So who looks worse the guy who fought the shot fighter OR the guy who is fighting the guy who shot fighter KNOCK OUT COLD!!!

[QUOTE=Willie Swindler;9257294]No doubt about it. It feels great to be vindicated.

FACT OF THE MATTER IS SHANE HAS BEEN SHOT SINCE THE RICARDO MAYORGA FIGHT.

There was ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE in the Shane Mosley that faced ricardo mayorga, antonio margarito, floyd mayweather, & now sergio mora.

The only difference was the opponent & the fact that sergio mora NEVER ALMOST GOT KTFO unlike the woman beater.

LMFAAOOO at some of the pathetic lame attempts by the *****s saying floyd ruined fighters.

As if floyd is some murderous punching machine. That's why marquez, baldomir, zab judah, ricky hatton, castillo, corley, jesus chavez all still won fights after they lost to the woman beater.

          i dont think so *****s.

I posted as soon as the woman beater beat shane that the only way floyd's win looks good & HUSHES all the critics is if Shane beat another elite fighter. That would prove how great the win was for floyd.

          DENIED.

          NEGATIVE.

Great week/month for the woman beater.

          Racist, ****phobic, xenophobic, shameless rant?

          Affirmative.

Woman beating, image tarnishing, roid rage?

          Roger that.

One of his biggest win just got downgraded?

          Confirmed.

Only thing that is left is Pac puts on another spectacular performance & the woman beater goes to jail. All in november.

I don't see you can say that Shane is shot. He is not shot, he is in transition to being an older fighter. Being an older fighter a lot of factors come into play and mental sharpness is one of the key factors in order to overcome the physical limitation at an older age. Now as far as the fight goes, Mora proved nothing. He ran most of the fight and he initiated the holding all fight long. Yes, he got in some good inside shots but he didn't do enough to win the fight. Needless to say the fight does show that even a guy at Shane's age can't be convincingly beaten by Mora. If Mora wants to be a Champ he's has to make a statement when fighting a guy like Mosley. That fight was similar to Mosley's fight with David Estrada and I'll say it...Mora would not have beaten the David Estrada that fought Mosley that night. Estrada fought a very good hard fight, but his defensive weakness caused him to take too many shots. Watch the fight again...you'll even see that Mora's corner didn't feel that he was winning the fight at round 10...listen to what his corner tells him after round 10.

it was impressive last night that shane took the fight too much bigger middleweight. in the championship rounds shane pressing the fight and landing the better punch.

shane showed he has stuff left in the tank. bad style matchup because shane always have tough time with tall fighter and shane is not great at 154.

manny will fight shane next after margrito and shld dominate shane

but Willie you're so right. If you wanna get down to brass, Mosley imo has looked like **** for years. And frankly I never thought he was as good as he's advertised to begin with.

Iceta made a good thread about him last night actually.

mosley showed all the telling symptoms of a shot fighter. Doing well in the first part of the fight. Looking spry, throwing a lot of punches, & even sometimes hurting their opponent. Then as the fight goes on, everything slows down. They are less accurate, the work rate dramatically drops, they end up being outworked, & eventually losing the fight.

I will show you examples & more importantly pay attention to all their ages:

Bernard Hopkins vs Joe Calzaghe - Hopkins is doing well in the first part of the fight. Even scores a knockdown. As soon as the fight turned to the second half, hopkins slowed down. he stop throwing punches, couldnt score against calzaghe & was overworked to a points decision.

                      Hopkins was 40+ years old.

Roy Jones Jr. vs Joe Calzaghe - Virtually a carbon copy of hopkins vs calzaghe. Roy is doing well in the first part of the fight. Knocks down calzghe. As soon as the second half of the fight started, roy was done. Gets dominated & humiliated by the younger man.

                      Roy was 39 years old.

Oscar vs Pacquiao - a more drastic & telling example of a shot fighter. Oscar loses the first couple of rounds but is still throwing but as soon as the 3rd, 4th round came he was empty helpless carcass getting devoured by a young hero of asia lion.

Oscar was 34-35 years old. not sure of the exact age.

Floyd vs Shane - Perfect example. Shane looks good the first part of the fight. even badly hurts the woman beater in the 2nd round. blew his load in that round & was a shot, spent, gun the rest of the fight. Everything declined after the 3rd-4th round.

Shane was 38 going on 39.

There is no "transitions" phase here. Shane has been done as a elite fighter for awhile now. That margarito fight fooled everybody & made shane look better than he really is. Shane has been a shot fighter since the ricardo mayorga fight.
