alvarez was very patient in that fight and showed maturity beyond his age. he showed some decent skills and his jab was very effective as well as his counterpunching. but all that was against a 39 years old, past prime, class b fighter at best. nevertheless it was still a good win by the 20 year old kid. he definitely showed some promise and has improved from his last fight. if he continues to improve and work hard he's gonna be a champion in the future.

IMO there a still a lot of question marks over the kid, but that continual measured improvement is what counts at this stage, along with the continual step-up in competition.

Last time that I checked, Canelo was rocked to hell by a midget. Trying to put him in some pedestal for defeating Baldomir is ludicrous. He needs to prove himself, that's a fact. Not that I expect some fanboy to understand that.

All Alvarez has going for him right now is his power. Baldomir was looking equally matched up to him for most of the fight.

I don't think people realize how dangerous of a fight this was for him, a 20 year old kid going against a crafty vet like Baldo. Baldo was in perfect possisiton to spoil this fight and it looked evenly matched for the most part.

canelo conditioning is poor he was given advice by finito lopez to go train in the mountains but he blew him off saying his camp is good enough. i lost alot of respect for canelo when he dicarded finito advice.at this point i see no improvement and people are using his age as an excuse. canelo needs a new trainer.

Canelo is like a rock star. The fans was cheering for him like crazy after the ko. Good for him but idk what else any1 expected. I knew he would win.
