alvarez was very patient in that fight and showed maturity beyond his age. he showed some decent skills and his jab was very effective as well as his counterpunching. but all that was against a 39 years old, past prime, class b fighter at best. nevertheless it was still a good win by the 20 year old kid. he definitely showed some promise and has improved from his last fight. if he continues to improve and work hard he's gonna be a champion in the future.

Alvarez did a good Job, would like to see him mix Some body shots though instead of just head hunting.what's suprising is he says he wants a real title shot in a year-year and half.also thinking going back down to welterweight .see what happens here

These are exactly the type of fights he needs right now.
He's still got a lot to learn in case you hadn't noticed.
And it is not even clear if he can match it with the top guys yet.
IF, he is to hang in there with the top guys, let alone beat them and become a world-class fighter, then he needs more time.
Dont be in such a rush to break our new toy
