Comments Thread For: Cintron: Emanuel Steward Trying To Sabotage Cotto Fight

Former welterweight champion Kermit Cintron reached out to BoxingScene.com, furious at the latest developments in his negotiations to face WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto on December 4. According to Cintron, he was informed that Cotto's trainer, Emanuel Steward, is discouraging Cotto from accepting the fight, and advising the Puerto Rican star to face the secondary option, unbeaten Vanes Martirosyan. Steward had at one time trained Cintron. The two parted ways on good terms.

Steward knows Cintron would be a very tough fight for Cotto and he would prefer to train Cotto for Vanes or Chavez Jr. I would be rooting for Cotto if he fought Cintron but an upset in that fight wouldnt surprise me at all.

After CIntron's last performance the last thing he deserves is a HBO date with Cotto. LoL at this guy talking about Steward is taking food off his table. Just like Floyd said, Cintron is a ESPN 2 knockout artist, and that's it.

Cintron is a more dangerous opponent then Vanes or Chavez Jr. Cintron would also easily be Mayweathers second toughest ww opponent on his resume if they ever did fight.

cintron beat a very tough angulo

watch the pwill cintron fight and tell me cintron didnt win 4 rounds to 0

because he clearly did before the whole fallout the ring incident.

cotto vs cintron would be a firefight

                    alot of good action

and since margacheato has ruined cotto, i would pick cintron by knockout, as

much as i really dont like the guy i think he gets cotto out
