We are all given free will to respond to any event in our lives as we choose. Hatton chose poorly and should take responsibility for his responses.

To his credit. He has accepted responsibility and has in fact gone to rehab to fix it.
He's not blaming Pacquiao. That's where your logic is off. He retired after the Pacquiao fight, but that doesn't mean he had to retire. He could've gone on fighting C-level opposition, but instead he decided not to fight again.

This is what you're making it sound like:

Ricky Hatton (snorting coke off a bathroom floor): "See this Manny? You made me do this! This is all YOUR FAULT!!! WHY GOD WHY????!???"

Ok, see, but that's the thing about this thread that's so dumb. Hatton isn't blaming MANNY or FLOYD for losing, which is what the OP is saying, even though I'm sure he's a troll. Hatton lost to Pacquiao and apparently didn't take it well. He's not blaming Pacquiao. If he's blaming anybody, it's himself, and he's taking it way too hard.

It's Pacquiao's fault he is better than Hatton.
