Hatton blames Pacquiao for his drug and alcohol abuse!

Truth: Manny Pacquiao retired Hatton with the Punch of the Decade.

    According to Yahoo Sports:

"Former world champion boxer Ricky Hatton has blamed his struggle to cope with retirement for his binge drinking and drug use."

Truth Re-Told: Since Manny Pacquiao put Hatton in retirement. And retirement was the reason for Hatton's binge drinking and drug use. Therefore, Pacquiao caused Hatton's drug and alcohol problems. Simple logic.

Logic - as defined in Philosophy 202 - has to do with the relationship between "premises" and "conclusions" of the "argument".

          Premise 1: Pacquiao retired Hatton
Premise 2: Hatton blames drug and alcohol abuse on retirement.
Conclusion: Pacquiao caused Hatton's drug and alcohol abuse.

Simply logic from the third semester of college philosophy.

Your Premise 1 is false. Your Premise 2 is iffy because what someone blames their addictions to is not always true.

You need to have 2 absolutely true premises. Yours aren't even close on either account. Pleast try again (preferable at a forum I don't read)

I agree that Hatton should take full responsibility for his actions instead of blaming Pacquiao and retirement.

We are all given free will to respond to any event in our lives as we choose. Hatton chose poorly and should take responsibility for his responses.

To his credit. He has accepted responsibility and has in fact gone to rehab to fix it.

if hatton never smoked, drinked, or taken a illegal drug ever in his life....

he would still lose handily to pac & floyd.

hatton lacks elite level talent & athleticism.

yea if hes going to rehab its the best thing he can do. its childish for him blameing pacquiao. it wasnt manny who shoved the drugs down his nose.
