Mayweather Started the Catch Weight Craze and should be Hanged!

If it weren't for Floyd Mayweather forcing the 130 pound Marquez to move up to 144 pounds where Floyd cheated him by showing up at 147 pounds during the weigh-in and 160 lbs. during the eve of the fight, this catch weight craze that is set to soon engulf Williams vs. Martinez II wouldn't have happened.

Shame on Floyd for being a ducker, a woman beater, a racist, and a catch weight fanatic. He should be banned from boxing for the bad influence that he is. Even young Canelo Alvarez is starting to do the catch weight craze.

Shame on Floyd. Cheating Marquez has had some major negative consequences on the sport. Forcing someone to move up 14 pounds then cheating him is grounds for hanging.

naah catchweights have always been around...and I actually like them for the most part (when done right). I say this because they have traditionally allowed fights we normally wouldn't see. Now I will admit some have abused them lately.

Yeah, catchweights never existed before Mayweather lured Marquez up to Welterweight.

Actually Mayweather was the first to go for a catchweight when he tried to fight Hamed at 128.

Floyd lured Marquez up from lightweight to welterweight, then he cheated him by showing up at middleweight. What a cheating coward Floyd is. Catch weight king of the universe.

There's always been catch weights, but these days it's ridiculous. Not to mention guys like Guzman not even attempting to make weight.

It's one of those loop holes that as long as people can get away with it, it will continue. Boxing needs so much reform it's crazy. A few lbs here and there is acceptable to make a major fight happen, but only for mega fights.

Everyone else needs to clean the division out. That part of boxing seems done.

Yeah, and unlike Floyd, Pac actually met the agreed upon weight stipulation...

Dude, I understand your frustration but that does not mean its ok to say that Mayweather should be HUNG! Come on bro, that is way more insensitive than even the foolishness that Mayweather said about Pacquiao! Now maybe you are not a racist but that statement when read by an African American would make it seem that u are. Im not telling you what to say or think but hopefully you will get your point across a bit more thoughtfully in future post.
