According to WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan, he wanted Marcos Maidana so bad that he agreed to give up the homefield advantage and allowed Golden Boy Promotions to send the fight to the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Khan tried very hard to have the fight in the UK, but the numbers wouldn't add up with the amount of money being requested by Maidana. Khan has promised that his next fight will take place in the UK.

exactly. Khan's statements are filled with so much contradiction about how he always wanted to fight in the bigger stage that is the US, I can help thinking that he's a mere con. lol, you are a pleb. im probably one of khans hardest critics. im just not dumb. i dont live in my own little world in my head, i look at the wider picture and what i wrote i stand by: khan probably has more fans and more earning potential then Bradley, Maidana & Alexander TOGETHER! nothing i wrote there is blind love or whatever you want to call it.
