His hands were definatley loaded that night, I have never seen a fighter get busted up that quickley, and Margarito wasn't even landing that many punches.

he was getting hit cleanly with power shots but I stlll think he was cheated because that was a big fight for Marg and if he loaded his gloves against Mosley then obviously he would do the same against the undefeated Cotto

And Cotto didn't make any excuses at all. He never accused Margarito of having loaded gloves. Unless you're referring to the fans being the ones to make excuses? I really can't tell, you type like a ******.

When you shake someones hand, you're not shaking their knuckle padded plaster. Have you ever shaken someones hand? And in the Billy Collins Jr. case, Collins dad shook the glove of Resto, and he could easily tell that the padding had been removed. He probably noticed it before touching the glove because the glove looked deflated.

We would never know if Margarito use it in his previous fights, I don't know why some people only bring up Cotto, What about Cintron? Or Williams or Clottey or Johnson etc it's hard to think he hasnt used it previously but facts are Margarito wasn't found with anything against cotto or his previous opponents.

I've brought up all those fights. I think he has been doing it for awhile, he had Williams hurt with body-shots late in their fight.

so if u had ur wraps full of plaster and u knew about it would u risk going to the opposing corner and shaking hands and he had his gloves off already when he shook hands and yes u can touch a bit of someones knuckles when shaking hands........ and as for billy collins idk who said that resto had plaster too it was the padding with his gloves nothing was ever said about his wraps.
we are talkin about gloves and wraps thats two way diffrent things . i like cotto but i think that if Margarito had plaster in his wraps that night with all the punches he was receiving and his suspect chin i doubt he would make it that far

When you shake someones hand you are shaking the area of the hand that punches.


I remember one the promoters mention that the padding was on top of the hand. Basically a slap punch would use the padded plaster, not a regular type of punch.

Billy Collins Jr went the distance against someone using plaster and who cut their padding out of their gloves. Fighters who can take a decent punch, can take it. And even though Cotto has been shaken up in the past, he has showed signs of a pretty good chin. I'm not saying a granite chin, but his chins not as bad as people make it out to be at times.

No plaster was used against Collins. Padding was removed from the gloves!
