khan was popular in the UK when he first turned pro,
but the fans got sick of Khan cherry picking his fights,
he wouldn't face the top guys in his division in the UK or europe.
comparing Khan with Audley Harrison is spot on,
go to any boxing forum and see how popular Khan is,
another KO for Khan and he's done for in the states, ask naseem hamed

What do you mean ask Naseem Hamed?

Hamed was 9 years undefeated. 5 years world champ.

Only lost once in his entire career to a Barerra at the peak of his form.

he will come back and fight bums to bring back the hype. then he will duck the big punchers and cherrypick his opponents to make sure he'll be the next big star in boxing.

Yeah right, will hamed be introduced to the boxing hall of fame? I don't think so, Hamed cherry picked his opponents , as soon as Hamed faced a top feathweight in Barrera he was schooled, he was offered a return but refused he had a few more fights after that but was never the same after that fight,

True if it was an all out war I would actually give him props even if he loses.. If he had a solid chin, he would wipe out the 140 division. He can still do it but has to be very careful, he's been rocked quite a few times and its going to be devastating if he takes a clean shot from Maidana.

No way is his career over if he gets stopped! Ridiculous, if you americans haven't heard us brits love a loser, it makes things more interesting lol. If he gets stopped by maidana there are still a number of directions he can go, eg. He could fight john murray in the UK which would be a big fight. He could fight kotelnik again who has been crying out for a rematch and the winner could go back after one of the champions, none of these situations are ideal obviously but there would be interest there. There would obviously have to be a rebuilding job again, maybe 1 easy fight, but then yeah there will always be people who want to fight amir khan, and he will still fill out venues in the UK. The main thing would be if he himself would want it anymore.

Agree. Khan can't win the Americans over period. He gets dogs abuse for fighting non punchers (I've said all alone that he is only a very young fighter so whats the rush). He fights the biggest puncher out there and their still on his back. Is it because he is not American? Or is it because he is ******? Both I suspect. It's the same for the haters here in the UK although he does now have a good fan base here. If he was white, well educated like say Cleverly he'd be of Hatton stature already.

My question is; What if he wins well? Are the haters going to give him any credit. Yeh he's had a fairly easy route since the the Prescott KO but he's still done it, he's as entertaining as any other fighter out their so whats the big ****ing deal. Give the guy some credit where it is due.
