I dunno I guess I'm nervous about this fight.

      I'm a Khan fan.

      Green k for polite posting.

Maidana drops his left guard way too much when throwing the 1-2 combo. Anyone with a bit of counter punch ability will easily expose his flaws. He leans in to punch, and inevitably puts his weight all on his front foot. Check hooks will knock him down.

Kotelnik caught him clean with some straights and jabs, but that's about it. Chino pressured the entire fight.

You can keep Maidana away with counter jabs and straights...and probably take a wide UD if you really prepare for it.
He'd need to pull off a completely flawless performance though and manage to not get caught by anything hard.

A lot of posts I've been seeing from the hardcore khan supporters rely on Maidana not landing one flush power shot in the whole fight. Khan's no defensive wizard and even the best ones still manage to get caught. Even if Khan did decide to go all defense his offense is gonna suffer.

I just don't realistically see Khan being able to balance defense and offense without Maidana having at least some sort of offensive success in the fight, and given the circumstances some offensive success is all Maidana could need to get the job done.

which is why we wanna see this fight. lol.

Khan's chin WILL be touched by a Maidana right-lead at some point. Maidana WILL pressure Khan to the ropes or T-buckle....and eventually start throwing those right uppercuts and powerful left hooks to the body.

            should be fun.
