Looks like a sick movie. A bit to hollywood for a movie about Micky Ward. Does anyone know which fight he got wooped in that the trailer was refering to?

Also there better be a kickass Gatti movie in the next 10years.

      "Leonardo Dicaprio stars in Thunder

Sometimes when you bring the thunder you get lost in the storm"

      some **** like that.

That clip of the weigh-in is for the Shay Neary fight in England, 2000. That was for the WBU 140lb title...I guess they are going to run with that as the 140lb championship for the sake of the story.

          That's pretty ****ing awesome, man.

I'm not sure which fight that is, Vince Phillips maybe? He lost that by eye stoppage.

There's not enough conflict in their life-stories. As turbulent an upbringing as some of them had, they are missing a crucial story hook.

The core of this film will be 'Brothers', ****y's struggle with drugs, him holding Micky back and then being the lifeline he needs at the crucial moments. Audiences will relate to that.

It'll be a boxing movie second to that.

hopkins street life, manny pacquiao's rise to success, things about dela hoya, alexis arguello's death. well it ain't marketable and majority wont relate to cuz it's not white marketable.

I can't wait for this movie to come out, I was a little bit of the skeptic with Mark playing the role but am now convinced this dude has got it...

Like a year ago there was a report that Sylvester Stallone was working on a Pacquiao biopic. But yeah, Mickey Ward being the 'great white hope' helps in marketing the film to White America, no getting around that.
