You would want them to use their budget because Ward/Dirrell isn't happening. All the big names never get in the ring so why wait for fights or put money aside for a fight that isn't going to happen. I'm so disgusted by the sport this year and all the top fighter in it.

They don't know Ward-Dirrell isn't happening. Maybe they are hoping they can put Froch-Abraham and Ward-Dirrell on one night in December. We don't know what goes on behinds the scenes, we can only speculate.

I don't think HBO & Showtime are to blame for the lackluster year we've had. There have been an unfortunate amount of canceled fights, people pulling out, and fights that were supposed to happen simply not for various reasons.

Then end of the year is looking good and I think 2011 is going to be a great year for boxing.

HBO and Showtime have actually been putting on more quality then quantity, sure in past years there were more cards but I have no problem not seeing Fabrice Tiozzo or Roy Jones endless bum marathon.

The last months are going to be some of the best 2 months in the last five years probably. No doubt next year will be better, this was a transition year.

Hopkins is not a PPV attraction, there never was much demand for him at any point in his career and this fight has slow UD win for either guy with plenty of holding written all over it.

I don't see it being that much and honestly I'd be surprised if it was that high. Mosley-Mora is $45 (even though it's more for HD).
