a week ago Burner was claiming to talk to Williams via Twitter and we were all assured that the only thing holding up the fight was the venue...and now there's a catchweight request
i can't believe anything coming from burner would even be referred to as remotely reassuring.
I really hope Paul Williams wins so all of the haters on this site will have about 3 million excuses to say his win wasn't credible just like the first one.
both of them been fighter 154-160 for awhile now so what is the problem with them fighting at 157? I would have said Williams is a b!itch if neither Martinez never fought under 160 but it doesn't even Matter, if anything the fact that Martinez doesn't have to make the full 160 might actually benefit him because that is an advantage when the FASTER Fighter can carry LESS Weight
Paul Williams is going to ***in crush this overrated hyped up BUM ANYWAY, then most of you will be crying about how "Martinez is 35" blah blah blah after he does it
I don't have much points but I will gladly bet what I have on Williams beating Martinez decisively in this match
Lara would beat them both Anyway lol...ESPECIALLY Martinez!
bottom line is...*** the weight...as long as they are getting in the ring!!!
How could that be worse than two non-contenders fighting for a vacant paper title?
I think he means that that particular title is worth nothing anyway so who cares, while the lineal middleweight title has some integrity, therefore making this situation worse.
i can't believe anything coming from burner would even be referred to as remotely reassuring.
especially coming from you mak.
Dude every time I look up you have something to say about me when I NEVER mention you.
Get off it bro. Martinez has ZERO issue with 157 Pounds. Meaning when I talked to Paul he was right. The only thing holding up this vight was somewhere to put it. Now in this article is the first time DC is mentioned.
There's no reason to think that either of them has a problem making 154, let alone 157. And neither of them are going to blow up in weight after the weigh-in either.
I don't like catchweights, especially not for title fights, but I struggle to see how this will help or disadvantage Williams or Martinez. Unless I'm overlooking something?
While it doesn't bother me too much I have to say I don't particularly like all these catchweight title fights. The weight limits are there for a reason, I think the fighters should just comply with them.
