Hopkins wasn't there yet and still wasn't prime for a couple years after the jones fight (I'm sure he learned a lot from that fight)
    .
Listen to this guy. He would know considering that he was Hopkins butt er I mean bunk buddy in Graterford.

Vs Trinidad. Hopkins KOs him, RJJ goes 12 rounds with him.
Vs Tarver. Hopkins schools him, RJJ loses 3x getting TKOed once.
Vs Johnson. Hopkins KOs him, RJJ get KTFO.
In the 2 RJJ/Bhop fights, who won more rounds? Bhop
LOL @ comparing the Trinidad fights and the Glen Johnson fights

      How old are you, seriously?

        that's all true.

but in the end that fight is the better example of roy vs. hop than the joke that happened recently.

it's not like roy was in his prime either.

either way when they were both young roy beat hopkins.

lol that doesn't mean they weren't a bit green.

for the record I think both were a little green, not just bernard

maybe you can say they were not at their best yet or even green is fine.

but it was not a meaningless fight like some people pretend because of their age.

they were already top ranked fighters , hence why they were fighting for a belt.

right but unfortunately neither beat a prime version. Roy got the better of bernard at the start of their careers, hopkins got the better of Roy at the end.

doesn't really matter though Hopkins vs Pascal should be the convo not about Roy Jones

                2. roy schooled hopkins. the only people that want to pretend it was close was hbo who wanted to sell a roy-hop rematch in the early 2000's.

                3. he just didn't want to fight dawson. plain and simple.
                1. Number of fights means nothing. Bernard wasnt prime wheras Roy was.

                2. Watch the fight, Hopkins clearly begins to take control of the fight. Had it been a 15 rounder he would have landed on RJJs chin and KOed him.

                3. B-Hop didnt rate Dawsons ability, it would of been a routine executioner peformance. B-hop knows that a win over Pascal will be big so thats why hes fighting him.

I am with Reed on this one.

Roy beat Hopkins when both were not shot.

The second fight, Roy was shot, and Hopkins, even at 45, is less than Roy.

As for common opponents rgument, ***ing Mayweather fan, I can tell.

C'mon Natas... the difference in ability of both fighters in 93 compared to both fighters in 2010.. is definitely skewed...

If Natas can use the Green word, then you can use the shot word.
