Comments Thread For: Anthony Mundine Eyes Miguel Cotto After Stopping Waters

At the Entertainment Centre in New South Wales, Australia, Anthony Mundine (40-3, 24KOs) stopped Ryan Waters (20-3-2, 12KOs) in the tenth round of a WBA junior middleweight eliminator. Waters took the fight to Mundine in the early rounds, but couldn't withstand the power of Mundine's punches in the later round. Mundine began to batter him in the ninth round and finished him off in the first minute of the tenth. [Click Here To Read More]

lol @ Mundine. Why not pacquiao at 147? Or maybe Mundine can get down to 140 and fight Timothy Bradley.

Damn,MUNDINE is the only fighter that moves down in weight again and again;how is it possible taking the first title shot vs OTTKE and now looking for COTTO?What he was used to eat at the time he fought big guys like Kessler or Green and what he eats now?

He may want to fight Cotto, but it's not up to him to decide. Cotto may not want to fight him, but as we know, Cotto take on all challengers so we shall see.

Mundine was never a natural SMW. He is a natural MW.

Which makes his win over Cruiserweight Green look even more impressive.

Interesting to me how quickly Cotto has become an opponent called out by just about everybody. They must regard him as an easy target to build the credibility of their respective resumes. Although Cotto has taken severe punishment over the last few years due to his old school non-ducking mentality, I am not so certain that he is done. IMO due to his balls in taking on everybody, he deserves much better!

I think Mundine has zero interest in fighting Cotto. He just calls out big names every now and then to get his name in the media and try to convince people that he wants to fight the best.

I'm paraphrasing here, but Mundine says in the article "I want to fight Cotto, although my next fight is against a rugby player". Mundine is beyond parody at this stage

if mundine fights cotto, the former welterweight champ will beat the former smw champ up like a ragdoll

panda's suprised mundine ko'd somebody even if it has been 3 years

actually thought paulie malignaggi had more of a chance of KOing somebody
