of course, Vitali is not a bum he can KO with his first punch, but I do believe Briggs will make Vitali feel very uncomfortable at times

Briggs has 2 big weaknesses coming into the fight : his stamina and his absence of defense for the overhand right, one of Vitali's favorite punch

Yeah I think Briggs has much better chances that people are generally crediting him with. He is a very dangerous fighter and often the reason he fights so many sub par opponents, like the one in the video you posted, is not that he doesn't want a challenge, but because nobody wants to take the risk to fight him unless a title and a big paycheck are on the line.

Briggs has a chance in the first 3rds to ko vitali. Ive said this many times vitali is stiff very early on. He loosens up after a round or two. But it might be too late for him this time. We will see.

I agree. Briggs will be dangerous in first three rounds.

Vitali looked very good against Arreola, but showed his age in the Kevin Johnson and especially the Sosnowski fights. The 1999 version of Vitali who KOed Hide in round 2 would have stopped Sosnowski in an early round.

Don King has a better chance of being named the next pope than no heart briggs has of winning the fight. Briggs has no courage no heart and is a bum.

This could potentially be a good fight. Also, being one of the best tests for Vitali in the last couple of years IMO. Briggs will not let Vitali get into his comfort zone to early. He's going to havea bash at it for around 4 rounds I imagine. I think Briggs may even hurt Vitali in the first or second round. However, this being all said, Vitali is going brutally KO Briggs in the 5th or 6th round, as Briggs will get sloppy, resulting in a KO for Vitali.

I'll defiantly be watching this as Briggs actually does have a chance. He's got 4 rounds to do the business, if not he's dead meet. Vitali by brutal KO at some stage.

the reason why Wlad picked Brock and then Ibragimov is a no-brainer...

If it is true that he has settled his asthma issues, I believe he could upset the fading champion. Briggs is huge, he's faster than Vitali, he's powerful, he's technically sound, he has a long reach, he has experience and a very good chin. He also has surprising mobility for a man his size.

I also believe his ''strategy'' sums up well how you got to fight a Klitschko : it's about making them feel uncomfortable by setting the tempo.

Maybe Briggs won't win, but he can make it a fight.
Lol isnt that EVERY fighters strategy going into a fight?

there have been quite a couple *******s running business ($$$) at the Vatican

the election of Don King would be no surprise to me

with that said, although Briggs hasn't won a significant fight in years and that he has been beating up bums, if he is a bum himself as you say, well, he is still a better bum than ALL the fighters Vitali has faced since he came back (fact)

                    no obviously

what was Walcott strategy when he fought Louis ? lure Louis to come in and lead so that he (Walcott) could counterpunch him (this has nothing to do with tempo)

both Klits fight at a rather slow pace, particularly Vitali, and it is a pace they set themselves

if you pick up this pace, you throw him off his normal game, his zone of comfort, cause he doesn't have the time to think and set up his offense, he is kind of forced to react to what you do instead of making you react to what he does

The Klits hate to have a fighter coming at them throwing a lot

i would pick arreola and gomez to beat briggs. briggs is a good a athlete(at least for 2-3 rounds) and a big puncher. but hes not very durable and easy to hit. we are talking about the guy that lost to mccline and sultan. and was KTFO in 3 rounds by daryl wilson, when he was undefeated in his big HBO debut.
