Depends. For me I started late at 22, after earning a black belt in Hap Ki Do, because I wanted to fight. My problem was guys in my gym were huge and always outweighed me by 40 ilbs. Im a lightweight, 132, so I even sparred a 220lb guy before. So, Ive had broken ribs, one concussion, broken hands and all that. I even dislocated my ankle with two chip fracrues that I am now awaiting surgery for at the end of the year. The problem, in these years, I have only had five fights. But it was worth it to me. I now train a friend of mine who busted my nose on many occasions, which I had to have surgery for..... but It was worth it to me and I still have 3.75 gpa in college a year away from my degree. As long as it is fun, youll be fine. But be smart, not tough all the time. BLESSINGS
