Martinez beat the **** out of him and had him helpless in the last rounds. Pavlik wanted to quit in that fight and Loew had to convince him not too.

If you think him winning 8 or 9 rounds, turning Pavlik's face in to a bloody mask from 2 cuts caused by punches under both eyebrows, and making him want to quit isn't getting the **** beaten out of him, I don't know what to tell you.

rewatch the fight up until the second cut Pavlik was in control and had momentum going his way. In the 9th round (i think) when Pavlik got that second cut from the punch he did want to quit and did get ****ed up from then on i agree but before that this fight was on even terms.

This Martinez Pavlik fight is much like Urango Alexander in that people act like they were these one sided dominations because of the way they ended but in reality both fights were mostly competetive.
