Something that shortens fighters career that nobody talks about....

.....Sparring. Dudes spend a good bit of training camp sparring when prepping for a match. Some might say well they do wear head gear and 16oz gloves. Let me tell you something that **** don't matter. That **** hurts just as bad at times. Some fighters have different sparring jump in and out the ring while training in camp. Not to mention if the fighter helps other fighters in their stable with future fights.

for sure man, sometimes they can take more punishment in sparring that they would in the fight there training for.... especially as some time they do as much as 100 rounds....

Exactly. Do think trainers should keep track of how manny rounds they spar. Should there be a limit?

i dont know man, i guess its just one of those things you have to do to get better... i gues the best thing to do is get schecked out with the doctor every couple of months, mri scans, reflex tests, cooordination tests etc... a good trainer would no how much u need to spar and when u have peaked he will make u cut down the intensity....

The nature of business can end your carrier in one fight. Sparring against a good puncher can take some out, but just imagine what would happen if you don't. Any good puncher can take you out. Doom if you do, doom if you don't.

Good point. But crazy thing is promoters prob don't give a f-ck about the health of their fighters.

You right. But **** if you get your azz handed to you in sparring we wouldn't know until after the fight. People would think they are just saying they had a bad camp to throw the opposition off.
