  • Can't Defend Floyd but...

There are many of us who grew up witnessing domestic violence either being personally affected at home or just witnessing it around our enviroment.

Thank God I never had that **** going on in my house as a kid and even though I can get into some heated arguments with my I don't hesitate to pick up my cars keys and leave for a while.

But in the profession in which I work I deal with domestic violence on a regular basis. And even though a victim is a victim I put them in two different categories.

The first victim is the one who suffers everyday. You know the one that has the husband with the substance abuse problem and can do nothing right. She gets beat on a regular basis and has no support system to help her out. On some occasions she ends up killing her husband out of desperation because she can't take it anymore.

The second victim is the mutual combatant. The one that "pushes the buttons" if I may say. The one that gets some satisfaction in belittling her man with words and embarrassment. This type of victim forgets about the consequences of what could happen after she decides to "ignite the wick".

I don't know what exactly happened in the Floyd incident. But if Floyd did beat this girl's ass I'm willing to bet that before any blows were thrown there was a lot of jaw jackin' like two dudes in the corner arguing about a dice game.

I'm not defending Floyd on this one but just as Floyd should had picked up his keys and left we need to look at what she could have done differently to prevent this whole situation.

He said he wasn't interested in Boxing after he retired the first time, he still come back... so when he says it I take it with a grain of salt.

She accused him of it before and then confessed to lying, shes done it once then she COULD do it again, I never said she lied or didn't lie... I said im gonna wait before pointing fingers.

Too many idiots like you point the fingers too much and jump to conclusions too quickly.

And do you seriously think I give a flying **** what you think of me? A lot of people tell me differently, so why would I give a **** what you think? Just because you refuse to be a fan of both guys because they are a threat to each other.

Yeah, I said im gonna wait until the dust settles and until its all done, it isn't even close to being done yet, just a little more information which says he could be guilty... if it aint all done yet then I am not gonna stop waiting and start judging like you, thats what I said from the beginning.

Stop contradicing yourself, its funny how you backed up Valero when it turned out he had been hitting his wife, but when its Floyd its a different story... whats wrong is wrong and if he did it then hes scum... but it aint all said and done yet so we don't know if he actually did it yet.

Hate would be me saying "Floyd has no skills and has no legacy to speak of".

In fact, I've always said he has some of the best skills I've ever seen and is pretty close to a complete package. I've always said his runs at 130 and 135 were solid. As a matter of fact, I said this, just the other day,

I don't even believe that. What he did at the lower weights was fine. Anything above 140 has been mostly a joke though. Judah was a good/decent challenge even coming off a loss.

But to say his entire legacy is a joke because of 1 loss is entirely false.

You can say we point fingers and jump to conclusions, but it is indeed fact that Floyd hasn't fought Pacquiao, never fought Margarito or Cotto, hit other women before, etc etc.

See the difference between you and I, I don't need the justice system to tell me whether a dude is a piece of schit or not, his actions speak for themselves. So while you "wait" for the process to take place to try and validate yourself and your corny thoughts of the guy,

the rest of us see him as he is, a low life , low class, childish and insecure idiot who just happens to have spectacular skills as a boxer. Sadly, he'd rather use those skills against the mother of his kids than go heads up with top flight competition in the ring.

        lol "backed up Valero". When?

I'll be just like you in this instance in regards to that,

I'll "wait" and will be doing so forever.

Floyd ducks Manny, "lets just wait and see how it plays out".
Floyd announces hes not interested in boxing, "lets just wait and see what happens".
Floyd smacks his kids mom, "I'm gonna wait".

You can play the, "I'm a non biased Floyd fan" bit all you want, but you're one of the most biased here.
Actually thats a pretty mature stance to take when a person wasnt present or havent heard all the details from both sides. Floyd was supposedly ducking Shane at one point, but if we just waited to see what would happen then we saw they did fight. How can anyone come to any conclusion from a couple of paragraphs, its wise to wait to see how this plays out.

Its a stannish stance to take time after time after time after time after time after time.

              But,

Floyds son is just a ******* I guess.

              He made it all up.

I don't need to a police report to know the guy is a douche. The signs have been there for years. Dudes like you just like to ignore it.

                  • ESPN sports personality Jay Mariotti charged with misdemeanor domestic battery

                    September 13, 2010 | 3:05 pm

City prosecutors have charged ESPN personality and sports columnist Jay Mariotti with seven misdemeanors in connection with an incident last month in which he allegedly grabbed and shoved his live-in girlfriend, officials said Monday.

Mariotti, known for his unsparing commentary of athletes on ESPN's "Around the Horn," faces seven counts in all in connection with the domestic disturbance call last month at the couple's condominium near the Venice-Santa Monica border, said Frank Mateljian, spokesman for the Los Angeles city attorney's office.

Charges include two counts of domestic violence with injury, two counts of domestic violence, one count of grand theft, one count of false imprisonment and one count of vandalism. Each of the counts carries a maximum of a year in jail, meaning he could face up to seven years behind bars.

Mariotti is to be arraigned Friday at the downtown criminal courts building.

LAPD sources said the couple began fighting at a club in Santa Monica after Mariotti accused his girlfriend of flirting with another man. The argument continued outside the club and as the pair left in their car.

The argument continued at the couple's Venice-area apartment, where Mariotti allegedly pushed and shoved the woman. During the altercation, Mariotti grabbed her arm, leaving marks, the sources said.

Police were called to the apartment and found his girlfriend, who has not been identified, with cuts and bruises.

Mariotti originally was arrested on su****ion of felony domestic assault. He was released from jail on $50,000 bail. But the Los Angeles County district attorney's office said there was not enough evidence to charge him with a felony.

In addition to ESPN, Mariotti also writes for the sports website Fanhouse.com, where he is known for criticizing athletes for their actions on and off the field. In the past he wrote a sports column for the Denver Post and the Chicago Sun-Times.
