I don't think it would've mattered much. Rios was doing subtle things in there, slipping and sliding with the blows, as he worked his way in. Plus, his blows were so much heavier. Either way, Peterson wasn't winning.

I'm thinking this as well. It would have been a very hard fight for him had he run for 12 rounds.

Rios was just coming non stop and was very accurate with his shots. I loved the right uppercut, left hook combo he kept landing. You could also see Peterson's shots had no effect on Rios.

Peterson could have boxed more no doubt but it would have taken an incredible pace to move the way he needed to to keep Rios off of him.

I liked how Rios conducted himself in the ring, he looked relax all throughout.

And with his shots connecting (especially his uppercuts) you sense he's feeling good about himself despite the long hiatus, which could've gone either way but didn't even matter for him.

Rios just was the better man that fight.

You must not have ever seen Anthony Peterson fight...Dude is not a boxer...

Good jab, yes, but doesn't move well at all. Funny thing is, people think he fought that wrong fight...That is his fight! He just got out gunned....

Did Anthony even look comfortable to you when he tried to used his legs? He sure as hell didn't to me. It is easy for his corner man, and the fans to say "he should have boxed", but if they would have paid any attention to any of his fights (even his corner man), they would know he is more of a ****er than a boxer...

              Pretty much...

Also, Peterson didn't look like his has been taught to use his legs in a fight. After about a few seconds of movement, went right back to what he knows, trying to **** a fighter out.

Anthony was simply out gunned. Dude has never been a "moving, jabbing" boxing...You can't just become one when over night. I happen to think he would have got laid out it he had stuck to that plan...He looked lost trying to move.

Peterson is a ****ing idiot. He tried to prove something rather than just win the damn fight. Some of these young guys, particularly the boxers, better learn that there is NO SHAME in simply out boxing an opponent and win easily. Sure you don't get the KO, but who cares.

You make it sound as if he had a choice.

He was gonna get ktfo regardless.

That easy for you to say, but let me ask you this, did Anthony look comfortable to you trying to box and move? He didn't me.

There are many other ways to outbox a fighter than just sticking and moving. With Anthonys jab, some head movement (something he doesn't have), and better use of distance, he could have changed the out come..

Peterson is simply not a boxer...Never was.
