I think he is in a no win situation coach. People like the way he fights when he does it recklessly. I think if he fights technically it wouldn't be fair or people would say he is boring(not me tho. I won't him to keep his got dam hands up).

Juan Manuel Marquez beat Derrick Gainer for the WBA Super World Featherweight title.
Marquez got stripped from the IBF and he became the WBA World Featherweight right before he fought Chris John.
Gamboa won the "interimn" WBA title. A few months later WBA elevates Chris John to Super and Gamboa to regular

You can not have 2 champions and one belt.

          Also,
The sanctioning body claims that John is being elevated to super champion as a reward for having ten successful title defenses. If that was their reason for making John the super champion
I'm guessing the WBA have 2 super Champs now.

When John comes back from his lay-off he'll still be Super Champ.

This is disgusting and destroys all credibility for a title that was already watered down as it was with the regular champ bs.

Next they will have the Ultra Super Champ.

I'm not sure about Gamboa's weight but, Salido was 138 lbs and that was enough to strip him.

Gamboa knows he has special gifts and the fight was easy. I agree I wish he would fight a more disciplined and controlled fight because he would absolutely pick people apart and break them down. It would also make him look better. That is the part I don't think has registered with Gamboa yet. Once Gamboa learns that with a little discipline and control he look that much more polished and better to get him more big fights and money he will be even more of a force to reckon with.

The Peterson bros are crazy to me. Lamont the one who lost to Bradley and Anthony the one who just lost both in their biggest fights didn't fight in the styles that would have given them the best chance to win. It was crazy I mean how can both brothers do the exact opposite of what puts them in the best position to win? As I have stated 2 other times today Rios weighing 151 on fight night is BULL****!!!!

Imo Gamboa needs to work on his timing and use the jab more often and the straight. He comes in with hooks waaaaaaaaaaay to much for my liking.

Good post Larry, you are spot on. I agree.

I agree with you. Some like that, I don't and as I said, if he fought more disciplined but was still aggressive AND under control, he would be VERY hard to beat. Very.

Yes, I think this goes back to him being a bit more disciplined. I mean, he has been and will be much more athletic than his opponent and I think he uses that and gets away with alot of stuff. I like him, I really do. But, as I told Larry, I would hate for him to get knocked out by someone he was supposed to dominate because of his own recklessness.

Gamboa is fine. This is the way he fights. He's going to beat Juanma if they ever fight. You just can't teach talent like that. He fights with his hands down because he can.
