But I don't agree about proving anything about him not being boring. That fight dragged on way too long.

He carried Peter much longer than was necessary.
That's how he always is to me. He's too hesitant to engage.

Ray Austin should have gotten KOd in the 1st minute of the first round

Hasim Rahman shouldn't have gone 7 rounds

Sultan Ibragimov shouldn't have even gone to a decision.

    etc. etc..

That's my only real criticism for him, other than that, he's a great champ with ATG HW skills.

When you're filling a stadium of 80,000 people, you want to put on a dominating peformance.

That's what Wlad did and usually does and then ended it at the right time.

They get More Ad revenue, 80k people are joyful and we got to see a KO/TKO.

Totally, I'm a huge fan, but when he carries these guys for so many rounds it only makes me angry.

Emanuel Steward obviously feels like we do.

Wlad is boring to me because I feel if he didnt fight scared he could do in Round 1 the things hes doing to end the fight. He jabs and holds until the guy has nothing left, smart yes because he wins, but i just feel if he jumped the guy from the start hed have the same results and his fights would prob be on HBO and not an online stream courtesy of espn.

bastard couldve done it 1 rd earlier, i had 10 quid on him to win in rounds 7-9!

I thought he tried to be more entertaining than normal, he didnt use the jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab right hand jab jab jab jab etc. He through more rights, and earlier on as well. Peter clinching hurt the entertainment value, but once the ref told Wlad to work out of it instead of waiting to be separated it got better.

            Good KO too.

Better than a normal Wlad fight imo, but still not edge of the seat stuff. Plus i like the fact that even though Peter knew he was getting dominated he would still try and take Wlad out with 1 shot now and again. Most of his opponents dont even bother do that in the later rounds.

I thought it was the most exciting I have seen him fight in awhile, but according to lots on here he was boring as hell.

Fans never get satisfied, always making excuses. They never think that they could never do what boxers do, unless some of them actually do some boxing themselves. They think just going in the ring and knocking out someone is very easy.

I was a big Wlad fan but he went to this style ever since he got knocked out by Corrie Sanders. it's not pretty to watch but hey it work for him.
Ali held and grabbed behind the neck...No one mentions that

You have to admit he could've finished Peter much earlier.

I enjoyed his performance. He looked far more confident against Peter this time than the last time. Maybe the anger he feels over Haye's ducking brought out a bit of fire in him. Not the usual 1-2 Wlad the whole way, and of course I loved the KO. One of his funner showings to watch.
