Who should Wladimir Klitschko fight next?

Adamek is the most deserving.

But he'll get knocked out early. I'd have more faith in Haye taking a big Wlad right-hand than Adamek - a career light-heavyweight. Something will give, and it will be Adamek. It's a mismatch.

At least Haye has a puncher's chance. As does Solis and Povetkin. The others I'm scratching my head head they don't even really have a 'puncher's chance' like Sam Peter supposedly had. They haven't got the dextirity and imagination to land anything decent. Peter was game but he can't box and at the top-level is crude, slow and basic. And, in comparison to Wlad most the guys on that list are.

I like Valuev just for the spectacle.

I think Tomasz Adamek most deserves a title shot.

After that, there will be new, younger contenders such as the winner of Chisora-Sexton, winner of Platov-Pulev and Robert Helenius.

Chisora or Sexton would be a laughable affair, they are simply not good enough to face any champion in the hw div.

Haye would be down from the first right hand of the fight. Adamek would take at least half a dozen good shots before he fell over.

I'm fairly certain that Klitschko hits harder than Lolenga Mock and Monte Barrett. I'm also fairly certain I've never seen Adamek knocked down and badly hurt from a head shot, whereas Haye has been knocked out and also put down multiple times by smaller men.

Who’s next for Wladimir?

The Team of Wladimir Klitschko wants to put the IBF/WBO/IBO heavyweight champion back in the ring in December. However, with David Haye fighting in November, Nikolay Valuev recovering from surgery and Alexander Povetkin’s handlers wanting to give him more time, who is available to challenge the champion?

The name of Tomasz Adamek stands out as the most marketable fight. Adamek may be available, but he may opt to take one more fight before challenging either Wlad or Vitali next year. Olympic gold medalist Odlanier Solis could make sense. Euro champ Alexander Dimitrenko might be interesting. Unbeaten Denis Boytsov has returned to the gym after hand surgery, although he might not be ready yet for a title shot.

The sleeper might be David Tua, whose name has been floated out there (and his spot at WBO #2 is intact despite a lackluster draw with Monte Barrett). Also Former Klitschko foe Tony Thompson has issued a press release clamoring for a rematch. Stay tuned.

All these guys who "need one or two more fights before they're ready" and then take on pathetic opponents who don't even challenge them can kiss my ass.

Why don't Solis and Boytsov fight, or Dimitrenko and Ustinov, or Pulev and Helenius?

Maybe if they would take a competitive fight they might actually be somewhat prepared for a grueling fight against the Klits.

Some of the guys on the list should not be considered at all. Mormeck and Rossy would be absolutely destroyed in fights that wouldn't even be sanctioned in a sane world.

I think I'd pick Solis. He's a big (fat) guy with skill and punch. I reckon he's the only one of those in the poll who has a remote chance of winning.

Solis is the best choice just because he is unbeaten.

At this point if a heavyweight fighter has lost to someone not named Klitschko it's pretty safe to assume they won't be beating a Klitschko.

I think Solis would take the fight, but I also think he would demand significantly more money and Boente has already indicated that the opponent's purse demand will be a significant factor in the decision.

Solis is probably hoping to gain mandatory status with the WBC at some point in the next year so that he can be assured a guaranteed split against Vit that is above and beyond what he can expect as an optional defense for Wlad.
