Lets not forget Solido was 12 LB overweight

Hello forum, this is my first post. I read the threads but never comment. Ok i see alot of people are critizing gamboa, i did too. He is my favorite fighter and it hurts me to see him fight like this. But lets not forget solido made a ***** move no one is critizing on. Salido came in 12 lbs heaveir, the max you can come in on fight night is 10 LBS. Salido prefered to be stripped of his belt then to fight gamboa at a accepted weight.

He came in 2 pounds heavier, not 12. He made weight on the night it counts. That rule is BS anyways.

yes your right i worded that wrong. But still, he prefered to get stripped than to fight him at an accepted weight. Anyone know gamboas fight night weight?

only the IBF has instituted that rule and he lost so they did not have to strip him of it, it was taken.

any weight that he puts on between the weigh-in and the fight doesn't matter because boxers are expected to re-hydrate.

gamboa was the better fighter and the better boxer and he was expected to win in entertaining fashion. there were moments where he showed he was the better fighter, better boxer and showed flashes of the entertainment that he can bring.

the real "problem" is that people are expecting their favorite fighters to steamroll opponents or thinking what they would do if it was them when neither of those thoughts are based in reality.

he fought a solid fight against solid opposition that was able to take some good shots and he came out victorious.

He could of avoided half of those shots that solido landed. He was leaning on solido with his hands down. WTF was he doing. Gamboa has lost me as a fan, and if this is the gamboa we are going to see from now on he needs a new trainer asap

that is how he fights! his whole style of fighting is overflowing with arrogance. that is part of his appeal, that will be part of his downfall when someone is able to take advantage of it.

that is what kellerman is really sensing when comparing gamboa to naseem hamed. overwhelming arrogance.

if you're a true fan, you ride that ship until it sinks. he's fun to watch so i'll continue to root for him unless he's fighting someone i like more...juanma, for example (Viva La Southpaws!!!).
