    LOL

I always thought he was a no-nonsense kind of guy in the ring but he kept showing lacks of disipline by hitting after the bell and hitting the guy after he was obviously down.

And dude just needs to pick his hands up and leave them up

I said it a thousand times, Gamboa has some incredible physical condition, very good co-movements. but it's not smart to fight. Having a combination of punchs impressive, but try to download them constantly and not find the right time to hit. He has good reflexes, but their defense is terrible. I think he has a lot of potential, but need is a good coach to correct those errors.

Be cool if Juanma beats Marquez which is far from a certainty that Cabellero John Gamboa and Lopez fought each other then the two winners face off next summer then we have only one champion in the fw division and boxing can take a step towards salvaging itself oh well that doubt it will happen anyway Gambioa is the best in this division as **** as we gave Arum he was right to let the Gamboa Juanma fight stew both will probably have to fight once more maybe Gamboa twice then they meet next summer and i think by that stage both will be pretty huge in the boxing world and by that i mean people who are very casual fans will know them.War Gamboa

He acts like he can't wait for it to be over with. If this is how Gamboa comes with it when he fights JuanMa I fully expect that JuanMa will severly outclass him, and very possibly KHTFO! Solida was coming on pretty hard and never seemed to lose hope until after the headbutt. He seemed to lose the steam after that.

Side note: Joe Cortez needs to hang up his "fair but firm" gloves and retire for the betterment of my sanity. I just can't stand watching him ref.
I agree that Gamboa just looks bored sometimes. Maybe a bigger challenge would change that, and he better change that or he will get knocked out moving on in his career. Against guys like Salido he can just outclass it isn't a problem, but it will be.

Best post on this thread thats it plain and simple.

Styles make fights and not everyone is going to look impressive for example Lopez vs mtagwa lopez struggled while gamboa put him away.

So all this fan **** is bs stop hating on Gamboa he got the job done.

I can agree with that, but i think that Gamboa at times got wayyyyy to comfortable, and that allowed the fight to become interesting. I really dont get what he was thinking in the 12th. His hands just sagging, and trying to wind up. These are some ugly habits that i hope he gets away from. I think hes got all the things to be an exciting star, but hes still got some work to do. If i had to grade him tonight, id give him a B-.

                  Just my 2 cents

How did Gamboa unify when he isn't the real WBA super champ. Chris John is the real champ. This is more like his first real belt. He loses to Juanma anyway. He looked ugly in that fight. Kind of reminds me of Judah. Starts to fade in the later rounds. Only won the last 3 rounds was because this guy is still a bum

I wasn't impressed with Gamboa at all last night. The fight was lame and he didn't show this more controlled disciplined style that Kellerman kept referring to. Hell, I wonder if he could even beat Rafael Marquez now. At least Rafa has a better defense. I'd probably favor Lopez over him now too.
