    Gamboa is still very amateurish

He is lucky he is such an athletic talent otherwise he might have taken a nap.

Gamboa though he won isn't really improving as a fighter, he fought very sloppy tonight and has awful defensive flaws.

Still fun to watch though and kind of makes you want to see him vs JuanMa even more because you have to believe someone is getting KTFO.

Good post. No way Juanma-Gamboa goes all 12.

yeah. Gamboa looked a little amateurish at the end there.

he had no idea how to re-adjust his punching angle so he could catch Salido clean.

he could've thrown some right uppercut-counters while stepping back, or some (left) check hooks (again, on that back foot) and Salido would've been down hard.

Salido was bending in and staying open every round after the 9th. Gamboa just didn't have the footwork, or proper punches, to finish the fight.

Not terribly impressed by Gamboa, though his conditioning is certainly on point. He had a nice little energy burst there in the 11th and 12th.

His movement, speed and workrate will still cause problems for any fighter he faces
And when he's at his best, he's an effective counterpuncher
He's got plenty left in him.

Did it to any of you seem like he wasn't taking it totally serious?

He would have Salido backing up from his flurries and would just jump off for no reason, why?

Maybe he just wanted the rounds
He was clearly holding back until late
That could have been the gameplan, and it nearly payed off with the KO.
