I agree. Max tried to be unbiased.

Max's interview was damn annoying too, implying that Gamboa had lost something as a fighter "from the one we all fell in love with".

Oh, shut up Max. I'm sick of HBO's obsession with creating superstars. Just appreciate the damn fighter, and a fighter showing obvious improvement from how he used to be. I mean FFS, when he was reckless, all we heard was about how he needs to tighten up his defence.

Good point. I didn't see the fight (although I had fun reading the posted comments). Based on what I've read here it doesn't sound like Yuri's performance tonight, if he continues fighting in the same vein, will continue to capture the imagination of the average fight fan. People like to see the cyclone version of Gamboa. For the sake of his boxing career, I'd like to think that there's a good reason why Yuri handled the fight the way he (apparently) did.
