The experience gap between these two fighters is huge. Haye should man up and fight Wlad, but maybe he just isn't ready yet?
Amount of fights doesn't necessarily define whether or not you are ready. Haye is as ready as he's gonna get.

Haye will decline due to inactivity, I've seen it happen many times.

He fought twice in 2008, only once in 2009, now twice in 2010. Five times in three years is not enough for someone his age.

By the time Wladimir was Haye's age, he had about twice as many fights. He fought 14 times in one year (1997) when he was age 21. Wladimir will likely fight a third time in 2010, in December.

and Klychko had as many fights by the time he was 21. Perhaps if Haye had won a Gold medal at 20 and turned pro at 20 you could compare.

Not too mention that Haye was always a HW but was too scared to do what guys like Ibragimov, Chagaev, Chambers, Povetkin have done.

Adamek accomplished as much as haye at CW in 1 1/2 years and has done more at HW in half the time....

Wladimir has had double the amount of knockouts as Haye has had wins. He is a vastly more experienced fighter. Haye didn't look too good against Ruiz when he last fought. Maybe he needs a couple more fights under his belt before he takes on a Klitschko. I know he ran his mouth a lot, and talked himself into the fight, but hey that's boxing. Let's hope he fights Wlad after Harrison.
            No!

He should fight Chagaev and Povetkin in the first half of next year then maybe Vitali or Adamek (it doesn't matter who first) followed by Wlad the year after.

But you only get two fights a year with these part-time pros these days.
