Why Don't The Klits Fight On PPV?

While this is very true, I don`t understand one thing
Why is there so much talk about how much a person earns?
Ok, I`m a big Klitschko fan; both brothers earn a LOT - good for them
Why should anybody care???
P.S. Klitschkos wouldn`t earn much on American PPV - I guess they earn more in Germany. That wouldn`t be a wise business step. Just imagine a PPV Klitschko fight in Germany... 5 million buys easily...Comment

This, and not just because they want to be egalitarian, it's also a business decision. They could do just PPV and get decent numbers in Germany but no way would they get 10-14 million Germans watching like they do now when it's free. All this free exposure makes them a household name over in Germany and Ukraine/Russia, which means people are talking about them and also means they can sell the **** out when they do commercials/product endorsement. Just like Tiger Woodsor any other famous athlete, the majority of their money comes from endorsements. They still make mad money from their fights though, on average, they take in $10 million every fight and since they own their own promotional company, K2, they don't have to share that with anyone, unlike say Mayweather or Diva Gaye (who is actually owned by three companies - Saureland, Golden Boy, and Don King Promotions). Don't forget that they sell out 40-60K stadiums whenever they fight and they get crazy money from that as well. Bottom line - they don't need PPV and actually do bettet because they don't do it. PPV is what killed boxing in the US, when it was free on ABC, everyone watched, now only the hard core fans do.A)There is no PPV in germany
B)They have a contract with a specific german tv stations
C)Klitschkos previously stated that their boxing should be on public TV stations.
And before you ask, why they dont do PPV here, it does not work that way, for a fight to be free in the country of origin and PPV in outside areas.Comment
