Uh. Because in europe there is virtually no ppv-events.
Why Don't The Klits Fight On PPV?
Collapse

Without wishing to sound disrespectful its because no-one outside of Germany would pay to see the Klitschko's fight. Their styles are not exciting enough to attract the big PPV companies to charge $40-50 to see them fight. In America the emphasis is more on exciting fighters and less on technical ability. Add to that the fact the heavyweight division is pretty much dead and buried in the states and I think you have your answer. I don't think its because they are unknown as both guys have fought in the states several times.Comment

You mean mayweather is oh-so exciting?!!Without wishing to sound disrespectful its because no-one outside of Germany would pay to see the Klitschko's fight. So is hopkins, obviously.
The only PPV generator that is actually exciting is Pac, everyone else depends on good marketing.Comment

If thats the case then HBO and others would be willing to pay top dollar for the Klits. Afterall, they have dominated the division for years.Comment

The brothers make enough money as it is.
Name me some American boxers that can get anything like the numbers they get watching them?Comment

PPV is really all about marketing. Think about it this way, who introduced the PPV in the first place? Wrestling(WWF) Why? because the whole line of shows before the PPV were a shrewd marketing tool, the heel would beat the face in some less then honest ways, only to square off in their biggest rivalry on PPV, where face would beat the heel in some heroic feat.
People really are not buying the fights to see something exciting, they are buying the fight to see a resolution that they think is just, the true satisfaction. Thats why Mayweather is getting bought, he talks trash and people want to see some closure and hope someone will finally beat him. Ofcourse, its not the only driving force, but it is a big one.Comment

stop putting your american biased on a population in europe that out-populate you americans. The Klitscko's would do well if they choose to fight PPV. Mayweather and Hopkins are nobodys over here just like The K Brothers is there. Only BOXING fans know them and can appreciate their skills.Without wishing to sound disrespectful its because no-one outside of Germany would pay to see the Klitschko's fight.
