Wow!... No one put in a bid for the purse.

I really like watching Juan Manuel Marquez fight, but he can be a little frustrating when he's got someone hurt and doesn't seem to finish the job.

DiegoFuego - Have you seen the JMM vs Peden fight?... Watch that and tell me that Juan Manuel Marquez is crap!

(Peden is scheduled to fight Barrera next).

I have not seen the Peden fight. I saw Marquez vs. Gainer (can't tell anything from that one because neither guy landed 10 punches the whole fight)

I saw Marquez vs. Pacquiao, and Marquez looked like ****. He was getting destroyed until Pacquiao hurt his leg or whatever the injury was. IMO, that fight should have lowered BOTH of their stocks big time.

I saw Marquez vs. Polo on the Corrales undercard and laughed my ass off at how pitiful an opponent Marquez was fighting. I thought Polo retired like 3 years ago, lol. The fact that he doesn't fight big names (and isn't calling them out) tells me all I need to know. He ran from the Pacquiao rematch, so don't tell me he believes he beat Pacquiao or could beat Pacquiao in a rematch.

          DIEGOFUEGO -

I don't think you can lay any blame on Marquez for the JMM vs Gainer fight... Gainer tried to do everything BUT fight that night.

I scored the Pacquiao vs Marquez fight 1 round to Pacquaio... Some people scored it a couple of rounds to Marquez and the "Official" result was a draw. - Either way you look at it, that was a close fight. You don't take a fighter like Pacquiao the distance and draw if you're no good. If Marquez hadn't been caught cold in the 1st round and dropped three times, he'd have won that fight! Towards the end he was completely out-boxing Pacquiao and landing beautiful counter shots with ease. (Perhaps too little too late) I think Marquez would probably win a rematch between the two.

Polo is not a bad fighter... 3-4 Months before the Marquez fight, Polo was over in the UK fighting Scott Harrison for the WBO featherweight belt. The fight was scored a draw, but I think Scott Harrison was given a little bit of a "gift" hometown decsion, Because I thought Polo boxed Harrison's ears off!

Marquez is a fighter for the real "Connoisseur of boxing".

I agree with everything you just said, Marquez did come in cold in the first round thats the only reason that he fell but if that would have happened the fight would have gone to him with out a doubt.
