At the Rainton Meadows Arena in Houghton-le-Spring, Tyne and Wear, Steve Molitor (32-, 12KOs) of Canada will defend his IBF super bantamweight title against hometown favorite Jason Booth (35-5, 15KOs). Molitor makes the first defense of his title. Booth will try to get revenge in front of his hometown fans. Booth's brother Nicky Booth, was decisioned by Molitor in 2002. Jason has made a pledge to avenge the family honor by beating Molitor and winning the title.
