HBO think it's worth 2 million, at the WBA split, that's around 1.1 million for Khan, 900k for Maidana. This however is 150k short of what Khan wants.

I firmly believe this will not go to purse bids. I think that GBP will want to do a deal before then.

There's only 2 options.

Khan accepts 55% of the purse, or HBO increase their sum to 2.27million in order for Khan to take his 1.25million at 55%

Hbo better not increase their sum, Khan the spoiled brat takes 1.1 million or ducks Maidana. I really hope HBO and Maidana stand their ground. I'm sick of these amateur stars thinking they deserve the world on a silver platter.

The WBA has advised BoxingScene.com that a purse bid has been ordered for the junior welterweight clash between full champion Amir Khan and interim champion Marcos Maidana. The bidding will take place on Tuesday, September 21st at 10:00 a.m in the WBA’s Panama Headquarters. The purse bid will be directed by WBA Executive Vice President Gilberto Jesus Mendoza and Ratings Chairman Jose Oliver Gomez.

Nice move by Maidana when dealing with a slippery customer cuting the ring down and forcing the opponent to fight is the best policy inside and outside of the ring. It will be interesting to see if Khan takes the fight or vacates. If he vacates I look forward to the entertaining excuse he comes out with LOL. His fans will excuse anything he does. Sad really, but that is how it is.

He's a Con-job fan he doesn't understand. And he probably doesn't even realize Con lost twice in his career because he was out for 13 seconds against Limond which means Limond actually won. Not that losing is a bad thing, since its a learning experience to improve to be better. But when another fighter gets robbed, it just pisses people off.
