Top Rank is solely responsible for that fight not happening, not Peterson nor Soto.

It had nothing to do with Top Rank.

It was Peterson's fear of fighting Soto.

Soto fights anybody, anytime, anywhere, but everyone is SCARED to fight Soto, except c & d level boxers.

You dont hear Peterson claiming in any website, media, news that Top Rank and/or the WBC are not giving him a shot...........or "do you".

Top Rank had no problem putting Soto vs Guzman, but Guzman ran like a chicked and fouled Soto to a cheated "victory".
Peterson is not even half the fighter that Guzman is, and look at how Soto made Guzman run like a coward.

The title of this thread should really state:

          PETERSON AVOIDS HUMBERTO SOTO!
          or
PETERSON WOULD RATHER FIGHT AN ELIMINATION BOUT, THAN FIGHT SOTO (FOR THE WBC TITLE)

because it makes more logical sense.

It was Peterson that cancelled his proposed fight with Soto for the, then, vacant WBC title. So they got David Diaz to replace Peterson.

And then after Soto fought Diaz, a June 5th fight date was set for Peterson-Soto at yankees stadiums on the undercard of Cotto-Foreman, but again, Peterson declined to fight Soto, by having one of Peterson's team members start some kind of issues/distractions against Arum, to piss Arum off, as way to bail out Peterson from fighting Soto on June 5th.

Peterson wont fight Soto next year.
Peterson didn't want to fight Soto last year, and this year. he wont next year.

Heck, even JMM doesn't want to fight Soto.

JMM had the WBO and IBO 135lbs belt, yet JMM wont unify his belts against Soto's WBC belt.

last month MAB cancelled his proposed fight with Soto.

Pac has Ducked Soto for over 3 years.

Everyone is scared to fight Soto, except c & d level fighters, cause they have nothing to lose.

Soto has been willing to defend his WBC 135lbs World Title against the #1 contender-Anthony Peterson, and Peterson turned down a World Title shot, and runs to a different alphabet group (WBA) for an elimination bout against Brandon Rios, this Sat.

But Peterson isn’t the only one that DUCKED Soto.
Pacman has DUCKED Soto for over 3 years.
Jorge Linares, Robert Guerrero, have stayed away from Soto.
JMM also has been ducking Soto too, and MAB, and EM.

This is why Soto fights c-level fighters, cause all the big names contenders/champions are SCARED to fight him.

Bro, many folks will disagree with you (except for the Pac part, just so they can hate on him), but you are right!...

Soto may get hate cause of his record and all, but the fact of the matter is, Soto is not an easy fight for anyone. Guzman beat him, but hey, at least he took the fight to do it.

Soto comes to fight and do damage! One of my current favorites. Mean ass uppercuts too!!!

                    Guzman didn't beat Soto.
                    Guzman was unjustly awarded.

Guzman got away with illegal tactics of low blow, running, excessive holdings, given that Guzman was fighting in his own "backyard" (east coast [New Jersey]).
That's why the biased referee took, till the 10th or 11th round to finally warn Guzman for excessive hodling/running.
Even Guzman's own fans booed Guzman for his unual boxing.

When Guzman fought Barrios, Funeka, and others, Guzman trades with them and walked through them, and lived up to his former nickname "Little Tyson".

When Guzman fought Soto, Guzman ran, cheated, and fouled Soto.
Guzman was no longer "little Tyson" nd has stopped using that nickname after the Soto fight.
