remind me of Hatton vs Kostya Tszyu, I think Katsidis plays the role of Ricky Hatton and he goes in their just works the OLDER JMM over and after this fight people will say "JMM needs to retire"

people are sleeping on Katsidis, his style can be very frustrating because he pressures the HELL OUT OF YOU, now a younger JMM would pick him apart because JMM can fight going backwards and he is a excellent counter puncher but I think Katsidis overwhelms him, I am a bigger JMM fan and have a ton of respect for him but I think Katsidis style is a HORRIBLE match up for him at this point in his career

but it is a Major Vulnerability in Katsidis style and it happened in the 10 against Casamayor, Katsidis runs into a lot of punches and he doesn't use much defense just good head movement, so JMM has a great chance again if his Stamina can hold up but at his age I think it is going to be extremely hard to keep Katsidis off of him for 12 Rounds

You guys are on crack Marquez by unanimous decision, im sure it will be competative but I see Juan winning 116-112 or 117-111.
But Juan Diaz shuttin' Katsidis down really doesn't have anything to do with this matchup.

Ugh yeah it does since the techniques Diaz used in that fight Marquez can do a hundred times better.

            I don't like the Hatton-Tzsyu comparison.

Hatton was a relatively fresh fighter, never really been in a wars prior to that fight. No FOTY candidate, didn't have the paper tissue skin that Kat does. And, JMM is not as inactive or injury prone as Kostya was. And, Kostya wasn't the master counter puncher that JMM is nor did he have the offensive arsenal or the intelligence of JMM.

I agree but I also think Juan Diaz could compete in the strength department with Katsidis when Katsidis got close. JMM won't be able to do that. However, I do think he will outbox but he will be punished early but when he gets his timing and figures Katsidis out it will be a wrap.

I see Katsidis winning rounds early, but when Marquez gets comfortable, he wins the rest of the rounds and UDs Katsidis or KOs him late.

I think It'll be kinda the Marquez-Diaz fight in the sense that on the surface its a FOTY type of action slugfest, but when you rewatch it you realize the vast majority of the damage was being done by Marquez before the stoppage.

Marquez KO5 in a short but sweet WAR

Diaz is stronger than JMM. He was bullying and pushing JMM around in the first fight until JMM got going.
