I agree. I don't think Texas thought about the consequences this would bring to the sport of boxing. We should ban the Texas Commission for life. How do we do that??

Panama Lewis and Honest Don King should team up and sign Plasterhands-"Elcheato" Two ton Toney-Roy dead Jones- Jailhouse Kirkland and bring louie Resto back and dominate the sport with integrity and honor. Only in America or should it be only in Texas????

I've said for years that Lewis should be banned for life, but recent support from people in the know has at least made me rethink the issue. What Lewis and Resto did was cheat. Some people call it "attempted murder", in a sport where you win by disrupting the brain function of your opponent via repeated blunt force trauma.

Lewis is a dog and I've never liked him because of how greasy his hair always looked. He always looked like he would smell really bad too, like cigarette ash and BO.

Anyways, I just wanted to let people know that Billy Collins became a severe alcoholic after that fight and actually died of a car crash a year later. The resulting injuries from the fight preventing him from ever fighting again is still a matter of debate (see "Assault in the Ring"). What killed Collins was loss of self control, and ultimately a roadside culvert. He wasn't content to hold what he considered less meaningful jobs, and probably shouldn't have been. I'm NOT trying to demonize Collins, or blame the victim. It just needs to be understood that he did get released from the hospital, the swelling did go down, the bruises faded, he regained strength, and his doctor was of the opinion that he could have fought again.
