Vargas had the heart of a LION...so why do I hate on him?

Maaaaaaaaaan..........I watched Vargas Trinidad and Vargas DLH yesterday (when I saw they gave me ****en tennis on ESPN instead of the Tyson Tupac story I had to get my boxing fix)

This kid had MAD heart.....Vargas was something else boi.....no lie.....kid was TOO courageous for his own good....I remember I was on this kat early (being from my area and all)

when he got knocked down in the first round with that THUNDER left of Tito's I remember my jaw dropped and I was like

by the time he got at DLH I was long gone as a fan.....so I really did enjoy that beatdown....

but with Tito it was different......

Any how.....those were two GREAT fights....Vargas had enough heart and GANAS for the entire arena boi!!! no lie...... only wish he woulda gotten with some better peeps around him to stear his career and personal life in a better direction....

coulda woulda shoulda.......but the more I watched the Tito fight the more I believed Tito ruined Vargas!!!!

true vargas did have the heart of aa lion but his mentality and ****iness got him destroyed after all in his interviews he even says that he was the one that was pushing to fight felix trinidad since he had this hatred toward delahoya so i think it was vargas's way of trying to show up oscar by fighting felix trinidad and his pride got in the way of him being successful against the top fighters that he lost against trinidad,delahoya,mosley etc i think he was rushed way too fast besides hbo kept comparing him to a younger version of roberto duran and in the end vargas's ego was his downfall

I would hardly call a two time world champ and olympic participant just a dude in a highlight clip getting smoked....I think he did make something of himself.....just did it the wrong way IMHO

I personally hate vargas because of how he carried himself. On two seperate occassions he I repeat HE walked up to me and stated "dont you know who I am" like im suppose to worship him. The first time I told him no and went about my biz it was at the Esplanade, those from Da Nard know what Im talking about. The Second time I told him oh yeah you that dude that got his ass handed to him by Tito! He turned and walked away with his boys talking sh it. hahahaaa

but on a boxing level he had the tools to be a very good fighter but he was brought up way too fast and instead of slowing him down his Manager Arrelano just used him to make his wallet fat.

agreed......however that is why having good people on your crew is so important....once you get all that fame and money and "****iness" it blinds you and it leads you to make wrong choices..........some one like Cus D'Amato was to a young Tyson would have made sure Vargas had a better career....**** if Cus was still around for Tyson it woulda make his career even better....true story....
