      he's probably retired, but doesnt want to say he's retired until he's 100% sure.

          they should have a rematch, loser has to officially announce he's retired, winner never fights again but doesnt retire.

                  you guys need to show hatton some ****ing respect... he ain't no bum! he just isn't the first or second best fighter in the world... prime hatton destroys bradley and alexander... i think he can still possibly beat anyone at 140 except khan

                    One thing to remember about Hatton is that he's suffered at least 2 serious concussions in the ring. One against Floyd and the other against Manny and they were within almost a year of each other. My guess is after his last fight, he was recommended by a Neurologist to either retire or stay out of the ring for a while. He seems to have chosen the latter for now. Another factor is that he may have burned too many bridges in his inner circle. Gone is his longtime friend and trainer Billy Graham, as well as conditioning coach Kerry Kayes. Also gone are his recent accomplices, Floyd Mayweather Sr and Lee Beard. Getting a new trainer is not a problem but finding one who can relate to and motivate Ricky as well as putting up with his weight fluctuation will be not be easy to find.
